As always, the new year has arrived a lot faster than any of us expected, January is almost over already! It has brought with it a fresh start and some time to reflect. For me, that means looking back at how Roundabout has progressed throughout 2017 and making plans for 2018.
Last year I went to 28 shows adding the Chilli Fiesta at West Dean and the Alresford Watercress Festival which were brilliant events – I’ve already rebooked them for this year. I am looking forward to doing slightly fewer shows in 2018 as I am learning which are the better ones and those where I am building a loyal following. I. have started adding them to my events page. Remember I do get free tickets to some events which I make available to people in my Email Club, just sign up to the newsletter below to make sure you don't miss out. Please let me know if you have a favourite event or ideas for a new one I might try.
Online, I added to the website with an Instagram account and started this blog and I've added reviews to the Facebook page - if you've been really pleased with your Roundabout purchase you can click here to post a review now. The website and the shows have been my main focus to date but in 2018 I am looking to expand Roundabout to some new outlets. Keep an eye out in the future for exciting announcements!
The Roundabout collection grows each season as I add new fabrics. I was thrilled by your response to the new reversible cord trousers which were a big hit at the Christmas Fairs, it seems you love the choice of colours. There will be more new designs this year and as I cut them, I will feature them in The Sewing Room, for advance orders with 15% discount. My personal favourite this year was the yellow cord which I used for the Reversible Frankie Dress and Doug trousers. It’s such a wonderfully bright colour and is proving very popular. I love the Reversible Petula Dress which will be available again this year. I am also very pleased to have found some fantastic dinosaur prints which I will be using for Shorts and Dresses this Spring/Summer. You can follow me on Facebook and Instagram to see photos of new fabrics and products. It is always lovely to hear suggestions from customers for fabric designs, so, please do let me know if there's anything you would especially like to see.
Finally, I’d like to raise a glass to celebrate the New Year and thank my family and team and, most importantly, you, the customer, for continuing to support my small and growing business. To you!
